At the CLSC we take the success of our students very seriously. It is to that end that we have specialized staff dedicated to guiding and advising the students that visit. Jocelin Gallardo is our Interim Retention Counselor, focusing on providing students with important resources and connecting them with other faculty and staff across campus, all while being a friendly face that students feel comfortable approaching for any questions or concerns they have. Feel free to swing by the Chic/Lat Student Center (CUB 402) at any time!
At the CLSC we have seventeen student mentors through the Multicultural Student Mentor Program. This program, created by the Office of Multicultural student services, is dedicated to facilitating the succesful transition to the university environment for our first year students. They'll familiarize you with academic resources and get you connected socially and culturally, both on and off campus.

We offer a wide variety of cultural programming, ranging from workshops to large-scale events. It is our goal to help students rediscover their roots and use their heritage to empower themselves and others, leading towards a successful academic career and personal fulfillment.
The CLSC collaborates with many different student organizations from across WSU, all meant to empower our students and reach the goal of graduation. These student organizations range from Multicultural Greek Organizations to STEM organizations and marginalized community empowerment groups. Click here for more information about these organizations.
