At the CLSC we take the success of our students very seriously. It is to that end that we have specialized staff dedicated to guiding and advising the students that visit. Dr. Carlos Salazar is our Retention Counselor, focusing on the providing students with important resources and connecting them with other faculty and staff across campus, all while being a friendly face that students feel comfortable approaching for any questions or concerns they have. Feel free to swing by his office in the Chic/Lat Student Center (CUB 402) at any time!

Student Mentoring

At the CLSC we have seventeen student mentors through the Multicultural Student Mentor Program. This program, created by the Office of Multicultural student services, is dedicated to facilitating the succesful transition to the university environment for our first year students. They'll familiarize you with academic resources and get you connected socially and culturally, both on and off campus.
